Gerard Houllier watched the Arsenal v. Paris Saint Germain game from the Director's Box.Could he be the future Director of Football at the Grove?
Or was he there just to watch his old team PSG play?
The two Frenchmen are supposedly close friends and ironically after Bruce Rioch resigned in the summer of 1996, Houllier, the then technical director of the French Football Federation, recommended Wenger to David Dein.
Houllier's coaching history is excellent but I'm not sure if he has the financial mind of the departed David dein. Equally, we're not sure what Wenger wants from the new position, because Dein was no Director of Football.
It was just a thought I had when I saw Houllier in the crowd, but if Wenger thought it made sense we'd have to go along with it. As Arsene's knows...
